Senior Vascular Surgeon Opportunity

The Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a Senior Medical Practitioner in Vascular Surgery to join its Department of Vascular Surgery at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Vascular Surgery, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the team's multidisciplinary environment.
  • Participate in the ANZSVS's Australasian Vascular Audit (AVA) and maintain accreditation requirements for a vascular surgical training post.
  • Lead and supervise medical and surgical trainees, residents, and medical students, promoting excellence in education and training.
  • Contribute to quality improvement methodologies and demonstrate commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals, and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia, including an unrestricted 19AB exempted provider number.
  • Recognised specialist qualifications, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
  • Current membership of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery (ANZSVS) is desirable.
  • Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Vascular Surgery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
