Job Title: Accounts Payable and Projects Officer

The Role:

CDC NSW is looking for an experienced AP professional to join our finance team.

This role involves hands-on work with all aspects of accounts payable, working closely with the AP team to manage daily workflows and ensure accurate timely processing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising the use of automated invoice matching/receipting systems, resolving supplier queries, and preparing supplier statement reconciliations.

Key duties include managing daily AP workflows, processing payment runs in line with company policy, documenting and improving key AP workflows, and supporting the Manager – Corporate Accounting by updating AP performance reports in Excel.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of best practice in AP, experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365, intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and process improvement or project experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maximise the use of automated invoice matching/receipting system (Exflow) full training provided.
  • Work closely with the AP team to manage daily workflows and ensure accurate timely processing.
  • Resolve supplier queries and collaborate with IT, suppliers, and internal business units.
  • Prepare supplier statement reconciliations and fix discrepancies.
  • Process both scheduled and ad-hoc payment runs in line with company policy.
  • Document and improve key AP workflows.
  • Support the Manager – Corporate Accounting by updating AP performance reports in Excel and identifying any performance gaps.
  • Assist with Payment Times Reporting and provide data when needed.
Requirements:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a full-function AP role with solid understanding of best practice.
  • At least 1 year of AP-specific experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 essential.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including lookups pivot tables and working with large datasets.
  • Experience documenting and mapping AP processes.
  • Process improvement or AP project experience highly regarded.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
