About the Role
Talent Focus is seeking an experienced Acute Mental Health Registered Nurse to join its dedicated team at a renowned healthcare institution on the picturesque Sunshine Coast of Queensland.
Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled mental health professional to play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive mental health care within a hospital setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments, devise and implement personalized care plans, and continuously evaluate the care provided to mental health patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop tailored care strategies that cater to the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Maintain vigilant monitoring of the mental health status of patients, addressing any changes or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Provide essential education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Ensure seamless compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols, upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Requirements
- Hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Prior experience in acute mental health nursing is highly regarded, although not mandatory.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
- Exhibit strong teamwork and collaboration abilities, working seamlessly within interdisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals.
