Network Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to deliver high-quality engineering projects for the Australian Defence Force.
The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating complex systems, designing and implementing overlay networks, and producing ICT engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with a team of experienced professionals to design and implement network solutions.
- Integrate systems using V/UHF, cellular, satellite, and microwave backbone technologies.
- Design and implement overlay networks using internet protocol encryptors.
- Produce accurate and comprehensive ICT engineering documentation.
- Support the maintenance and delivery of operational networks and communications systems as a critical enabler of an operational system.
- Collaborate with other technical teams and project managers to ensure network and communications equipment requirements are met.
- Desirable Cisco Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP).
- Requires specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices within IT.
- Experience with a broad range of relevant technologies and systems, including Unix/Linux, MS Server, Active Directory, network management, application servers, and visualization.
- Requires understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution. Experience with Agile processes is highly desirable.
- Desirable a University Degree in Information Technology or relevant equivalent experience.
- Ability to hold a defence NV2 clearance.
