Music Administration Assistant Job Description

At our esteemed institution, we seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Music Administration Assistant to support our music programs. This role involves providing exceptional administrative services to ensure seamless execution of events, lessons, and opportunities for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to parent and student inquiries regarding the music program
  • Effectively manage upcoming school-wide events and activities
  • Manage room allocations and bookings for lessons, Instrumental Music Teachers, and student use
  • Educate Instrumental Music Teachers on Daily Roll Marking, Instrument Hire, and College Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain staff and student notice boards, including the Music Calendar, event posters, and social information, as well as student photos
  • Process entries for AMEB examinations and competitions
  • Liaise with Finance regarding unpaid accounts, enrolments, and repair costs
  • Establish and maintain an up-to-date inventory of music resources and conduct annual stocktakes
  • Coordinate instrument hiring for students and arrange repairs when necessary
  • Provide support in distributing musical equipment to students
  • Create and source suitable resources for music lessons, ensembles, and performances
  • Organize storage of equipment and instruments
  • Arrange transportation of instruments to and from repair shops
  • Handle photocopying, sorting, and storing music materials
