About the Role

The Credit Underwriting Analyst will be part of the Risk and Compliance organization at Nuvei Corp.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of new account applications to ensure eligibility and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies are adhered to during the underwriting process.
  • Correctly interpret and apply card brand network rules to provide processing accounts to eligible merchant businesses.
  • Communicate decisions and data needs with sales teams and business partners in a professional and effective manner.
  • Participate in the ongoing periodic review of larger exposure merchant accounts to mitigate risk.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Finance.
  • 1-2 years experience in a Credit Analyst role or similar in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrable proficiency across the MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
