Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with children and young people to help them recognise and manage strong feelings and build resilience.
  • Offer skill building for children through interactive and engaging activities that cater to their individual needs.
  • Provide comprehensive assessments with families, risk assessment/safety planning, and whole-of-family sessions alongside individual sessions with children or parents.
  • Ensure each family's preferences for wellbeing are recognised, respected, and understood.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in social work, human services, psychology, or related fields.
  • At least 12 months experience in the Community Services Sector in Early Intervention, Child Protection, or Mental Health.
  • Child-centred and strengths-based approach to working with children and families in a mental health context.
  • Understanding of child protection issues and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
