Job Summary

As a key member of our North West Minor Improvements Team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering geotechnical related projects, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver geotechnical related projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and options assessments to inform project decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Transport Scotland, Jacobs UK, and other external partners.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with project teams, including commercial specialists, environmental specialists, and health and safety teams.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budget and financial targets.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement project quality management plans, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer status through the UK Engineering Council.
  • Proven experience in geotechnical related projects, with a strong understanding of technical standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software packages, with experience in using AutoCAD software.
