Child and Youth Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at the Department for Child Protection. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and young people in our care, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to children and young people, addressing their unique needs and goals.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with the child, their family, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct daily routines, including meal preparation, hygiene, and activities, to promote life skills and independence.
- Offer trauma-informed care, supporting children and young people to manage challenging behaviors and develop coping strategies.
- Assess individual needs, identifying areas for growth and development, and developing strategies to address these needs.
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children and young people at all times, maintaining a secure and stable environment.
- Make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
