Job Title: Cellular Modulation Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team in the field of cellular modulation.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in quantum biotechnology, working with a multidisciplinary team of leading researchers from various institutions.

As a Cellular Modulation Researcher, you will be based at our Node and will work closely with distinguished scientists to develop novel nanoscale opto-electrodes for modulating neuronal and cardiomyocyte activities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in opto-electronics and materials, with extensive knowledge and skills in organic and inorganic synthesis of hybrid nanoparticles, optical characterization of single nanoparticle spectroscopy.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following key requirements:

  • PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, material physics, with a focus on opto-electronics and nanotechnology.
  • Ability to undertake original research, as evidenced by timely and high-quality outputs.
  • Willingness to contribute to securing research funding from external sources.
  • Extensive knowledge and skills in synthetic techniques for hybrid nanoparticles, including optical characterization.
  • At least two years of postdoctoral experience with a strong track record of competitive fellowship applications.

What We Offer

Base Salary Range : $94,152 - $114,672 (Level A), plus 17% superannuation.

The position is full-time and will be made on a 24-month fixed-term basis.
