Job Description

The Physiotherapist will provide culturally appropriate therapy services, including assessment and treatment of clients, in a multidisciplinary team setting. The goal is to support the care and developmental needs of Aboriginal clients in the Northern Territory.

  • Provide contemporary, evidence-based Physiotherapy services, encompassing assessment, treatment planning, and evaluation for diverse conditions.
  • Engage in regular performance feedback and improvement sessions.
  • Foster effective communication with interdisciplinary teams, clients, and external service providers to ensure seamless delivery of stakeholder services.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, quality enhancements, and service delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities

As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and delivering treatments for patients with various physical and mental health conditions.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent future illnesses.
  • Partnering with community organizations to address the social determinants of health.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • At least 2 years of experience working with adult case loads.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various Physiotherapy methods of assessment, treatment, and evaluation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
  • Proven commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Effective teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate outcomes constructively with diverse stakeholders.
  • High levels of personal resilience and adaptability when dealing with challenging situations.
