Our Mental Health Services department is seeking a dedicated and empathetic professional to support children, young people and their families working with the Child and Adolescent Forensic Service in the community or at Banksia Hill Detention Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality social, emotional and/or mental health care to children, young people and their families who are clients of CAFS.
  • Provide cultural liaison and family engagement where relevant and offer cultural interpretations to the broader teams.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to enhance the provision of mental health assessments and interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes, documentation, and reports in compliance with organisational policies.

The ideal candidate will possess recognised tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Social Sciences, Aboriginal Studies and related disciplines. They will also have demonstrated experience working in the mental health sector and/or with young people, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
