Waste Coordinator, Environmental Assurance and Protection

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Waste Coordinator to join our team. As a Waste Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with waste management regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Waste Characterization and Classification: Identify regulated and hazardous waste, ensure correct classification, storage, and segregation.
  • Maintenance and Organization: Perform physical maintenance, housekeeping, and organization of the waste storage area and safety equipment.
  • Digital Reporting: Log and containerize all regulated and hazardous wastes using a digital waste reporting tool.
  • Supply Chain Management: Raise requests for additional containers, labels, and supplies from waste vendors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Engage with waste vendors to arrange waste collection and follow-up on paperwork.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Conduct site-based environmental inspections and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve effective environmental management.
  • Trend Analysis and Research: Researching trends, inventory loss, and cost reduction efforts.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Excellent Attention to Detail
  • Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to Lift 25Kg and Work Long Hours
