Engineering Data Specialist Job Description

Your role as an Engineering Data Specialist will be to support the engineering team by maintaining accurate and up-to-date data in SAP, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

This involves managing and maintaining engineering master data in SAP, performing data cleansing, transformation, and uploads using tools like LSMW, responding to service requests, troubleshooting system issues, conducting system testing and supporting upgrades or fixes. You will also generate reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to support decision-making, deliver training to new users, and support continuous improvement.

To succeed in this position, you will need a strong understanding of SAP (S/4HANA preferred), LSMW, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or QlikSense. A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science, or 3+ years in a similar technical role is required, along with excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain engineering master data in SAP

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science, or 3+ years in a similar technical role

  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication
