About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Worker to join our team at CPL. As a Direct Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with high care needs and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and support to clients, including showering, toileting, dressing, and administering medications
  • Assisting with domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Supporting clients with mobility and transferring them using hoists and slide sheets
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, social events, and recreational activities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with high care needs and challenging behaviors
  • Ability to administer medications and diabetes training is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing a high level of care and support to clients
