Job Title: Counsellor for Student Wellbeing

Location: Casino, Northern Rivers area of NSW

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Counsellor to join our Support team at Frontline Education Northern NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer assessment, counselling, and consultancy services to students and/or their families.
  • Provide relevant feedback and follow-up with parents, teachers, pastoral, and support staff.
  • Support school staff in recognising and addressing student's specific needs, including social, emotional, academic, and behavioural aspects.
  • Lead group workshops and programs for students and parents on topics related to social and emotional well-being.
  • Host special interest sessions for parents and students each term, focusing on issues impacting student's learning, behaviour, and emotional health.
  • Organise or carry out educational psychological assessments for individuals or groups as needed.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Social Work
  • Working with Children Check that is current
  • Cert IV in Counselling
  • Experience working with students and parents towards solutions
  • High level of attention to detail.

What We Offer:
