Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Hospitality Team Member to join our team at Marriott International. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in the banquet department.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are ever the same. As a Hospitality Team Member, you will be working closely with our events team to ensure that all guests have an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Ensure efficient, friendly, and professional service is provided to all guests.
  • Assist guests with menu, dietary requirements, and recommendations.
  • Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

  • A genuinely warm & welcoming demeanor.
  • Possess personable communication skills.
  • Energising motivation - its infectious - no job is too big or too small.
  • A passion for the industry, a want to be the best in service.
  • Valid New South Wales Responsible Service of Alcohol.
