Job Description:As a Senior Culinary Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that we deliver high-quality meals to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Your expertise will be essential in driving our culinary vision and developing innovative menus that meet the evolving tastes and preferences of our customers.
You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective strategies to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire your team will be critical in achieving our goals and exceeding expectations.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing menu plans and recipes that meet our quality and safety standards
- Overseeing food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all meals meet our high standards
- Leading a team of chefs and catering staff to achieve our business objectives
- Collaborating with our procurement team to source high-quality ingredients and suppliers
- Monitoring and improving food safety and hygiene practices throughout the kitchen
- Providing excellent customer service and resolving any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A trade qualification in culinary arts (Certificate III or higher)
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior culinary leadership role, preferably in a large or bulk catering facility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, including HACCP and WHS regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
