About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic team in the Mid West Area Mental Health Service.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in providing specialist social work consultations and interventions to individuals and their families with complex mental health and psychosocial problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procedures for assessing and managing complex cases, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
  • Provide leadership, education, and support to clinicians within the service, promoting best practice and excellence in patient care.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing assessment findings and recommendations for consumers, carers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of community networks and partnerships, enhancing access to services and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Expertise in social work with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, utilising evidence-based practices and principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of issues associated with psychiatric illness and awareness of its impact on dependent children, family, and carers.
  • Excellent organisational, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders.
