Job Opportunity for Disability Support
">This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with disabilities and help them achieve their goals and dreams.
">- Engage with the person to develop daily routines and activity schedules, aligned with their NDIS goals.
- Complete daily support tasks, including cleaning and personal care, to ensure a safe environment.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual support plans, enhancing the abilities, skills, and opportunities for people with disability.
Employment Opportunities
">We offer employment programs that assist individuals to develop employability skills required to find and maintain employment in mainstream work. Our participants can work at their own pace within supportive, capacity-building environments.
">The specific role of this position is to deliver Employment Support to help individuals with a disability prepare, look for, gain, and maintain employment. You will provide meaningful, individualized capacity-building activities to help our participants achieve their employment goals.
">To be successful in this role, you must have:
">- An ability to use initiative, identify focus learning areas, and implement various strategies to overcome barriers.
- Excellent administration skills.
- Experience working with employers and businesses to negotiate job opportunities for people with a disability.
- Experience supporting people with a disability in an open or supported employment environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness.
- Computer literacy.
- Able to self-supervise and remain calm in times of crisis.
- Punctuality, reliability, honesty, and flexibility.
Key Qualifications
">To be considered for this role, you must have:
">- A minimum Cert III in Disability or above, or equivalent experience.
- Your own fully comprehensive insured and reliable vehicle.
- A mobile phone.
- NDIS Orientation Module.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- First Aid/CPR certificates (current).
- Australian driver's license/Valid International Driver's Licence.
- Working With Vulnerable People Card/Working with Children Check.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption certificate.
- Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest in working with people with a disability.
- The right to live and work in Australia.
