Senior Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

The role involves conducting intersection analysis and/or traffic modelling, analysing signal timing, parking and traffic data, and designing traffic engineering solutions including swept path assessments, site access and car parking layout reviews, devising intersection upgrades and road safety improvements.

The successful candidate will also undertake intersection and corridor studies, document traffic impact assessments (TIAs), prepare proposals, technical reports and presentations, and manage clients and stakeholders with support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Ideal 3–6 years of experience in transportation engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in traffic engineering and transport planning.
  • Experience with traffic modelling and design software such as SIDRA, VISSIM and AutoTurn.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
