Accounts Receivable Professional

The role of the Accounts Receivable Professional is a critical function within the finance department, responsible for managing and processing all incoming payments from customers.

This includes collecting outstanding debts, reconciling customer accounts, and investigating discrepancies. The professional will also be responsible for setting up new domestic and international debtors, including credit risk assessments and credit limit setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage debt collection processes to ensure timely collections and follow-ups.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Set up new domestic and international debtors, including credit risk assessments and credit limit setting.
  • Issue invoices, statements, and debtor reports for management review.
  • Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations and rebate accruals.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role within a medium to large organisation.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, particularly MYOB Advanced.
  • Strong reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
