Community Engagement Specialist

Our organization is dedicated to supporting some of WA's most vulnerable children and families following the death of a family member.

We aim to develop a connected, compassionate, and caring society where grief is seen as a natural, healthy, and normal response to loss. To achieve this, we are seeking an experienced Fundraising and Community Engagement Coordinator to help us build income streams through strategic engagement strategies.

This key position will be responsible for planning, delivering, and managing engagement initiatives that increase financial and in-kind support to our organization. The focus will be on nurturing funding relationships and building revenue from grants, donations, and community fundraising events.

• Consolidate diversification of income streams with a focus on annual giving campaigns, Wills, Bequests, and Trusts & Foundations.
• Grow individual donor portfolios by creating engaging supporter campaigns and implementing effective relationship management practices using our CRM system.
• Coordinate proposal and presentation preparation for fundraising leads to ensure successful pitch delivery.
• Develop internal resources to support fundraising activities and optimize resource utilization.
• Research, identify, and cultivate new corporate partnerships to expand our network and increase revenue opportunities.
• Source and secure grants for core services and initiatives to enhance our programs' impact.

• Increase awareness of our brand and reputation in the community through targeted fundraising initiatives and communications.
• Nurture existing supporter relationships through regular updates and interaction.
• Coordinate supporter engagement events and in-person touch points to foster meaningful connections.
• Assist with major donor and partnership relationship management to maintain strong relationships and secure long-term commitments.

• Manage data capture and extraction using our Supporterhub platform.
• Administer sponsor, grant funding, and donor income to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Prepare comprehensive reporting and acquittal for funding partners to demonstrate transparency and accountability.
• Provide timely updates on fundraising efforts and results to stakeholders.

• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures to maintain high standards of professionalism.
• Maintain confidentiality practices related to client information to ensure trust and respect.
• Embed our organizational values in all communications to reinforce our mission and vision.
• Stay informed about trends in fundraising and donor engagement to optimize our approach.
• Undertake other duties as directed to support the team and achieve shared goals.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a willingness to collaborate and contribute to shared goals.
• Strong organizational and systems skills, with experience in utilizing CRM systems and other digital tools.
• Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
