As a key player in organisational data management, the role of Data Governance Lead is pivotal in embedding best practices that unlock the full value of data assets.

This high-impact position combines leadership, stakeholder engagement and technical expertise to drive a culture of data responsibility and literacy.

About the Position

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, policies and standards, defining and enforcing data ownership and stewardship models, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, leading cross-functional collaboration, overseeing data quality, metadata and master data management initiatives, identifying and mitigating data-related risks, developing training programs to promote data governance awareness, and more.

To succeed in this role, you will need proven experience in data governance, data management or related fields, proven experience in a leadership or senior specialist role, strong knowledge of MDM, data lifecycle management and cloud data platforms, experience with tools like Collibra, Informatica Axon/EDC, Alation or Microsoft Purview, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, agile delivery experience, and familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
