Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support Early Childhood Education & Care students during their placement periods at various childcare centres in Melbourne.
  • Monitor student progress and address any issues that may arise to ensure a positive placement experience.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, SCEI policies, and placement requirements by conducting regular checks and assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective placement plans that meet the training needs of students and align with industry expectations.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and excel in their roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care or higher qualification.
  • Have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (including LLN unit).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Early Childhood Education & Care sector.
  • Full driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for regular travel across Melbourne.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and childcare centre staff.
  • Ability to motivate and support students to succeed in their placements.
