We're seeking a skilled professional to join our team in implementing cutting-edge MineStar technology products.

As a key player in the Cat MineStar implementation team, you'll dive into the world of advanced mining solutions.

From Command for Hauling, Dozing, and Drilling (autonomy) to Fleet, Terrain, Health, Edge, DSS, Reporting, and more, you'll be part of a team that's revolutionizing the mining industry.

The Caterpillar MineStar Implementation team has an opportunity for an energetic and committed person to join the technology group in our Brisbane or Perth office.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive customer recognition of the incredible value of our product features, improved processes, and change management.

Enhance your product-positioning knowledge for Caterpillar and provide invaluable feedback on product features and benefits.

Elevate the industry's perception of Caterpillar and actively participate in related mining associations.

Define mining site infrastructure, set up servers, install and configure MineStar products, and perform system upgrades with each new release.

Embark on-site visits to mining locations, ensuring seamless implementation and upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Technical Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience or 4 years experience in a related technical role
  • Technology hardware and software system implementation, preferably in a mining environment
  • Experience with harnessing/software on complex technology systems on heavy machines and communication networks
  • Experience of operating systems (Windows), database systems (SQL) and virtualisation technologies (VMWare/Hyper-V)
  • Experience with IT system architectures and enterprise level computing hardware / infrastructure
  • Experience in Fleet Management implementations is highly desirable
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to undertake up to 50% domestic and international travel
  • Previous Cat MineStar System knowledge.
  • Previous Experience working with database management (SQL Server).
  • Linux administration / VM admin/docker skills.
  • Knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages; computing hardware, software, infrastructure elements, and current development processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of mining Fleet Technology, Caterpillar policies, procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar's organisation.
