About the Role

At GroupM, we are seeking a skilled Investment Strategist to lead our Sydney team in delivering exceptional client results. This role is perfect for a motivated and experienced professional who can provide thought leadership and drive business growth.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver innovative investment strategies that drive client success.
  • Collaborate with senior clients and publishers to identify opportunities for transformational growth.
  • Develop and implement effective implementation planning and buying strategies to meet client needs.
  • Motivate and coach team members to reach their full potential and drive excellent client service.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity, leveraging relationships with publishers to bring insights and case studies to the agency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, using this knowledge to inform strategy and improve client outcomes.
  • Work closely with the National Head of Investment and Chief Investment & Operations Officer to shape the future investment offering for GroupM.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the media landscape, able to confidently articulate and train others on core media principles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to deliver results-driven solutions for clients.

Skill Requirements:

  • Possession of extensive agency and client service experience.
  • Proven track record of leading large diverse teams and embedding values-based cultures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the patience to examine detail and create solutions.
  • Results-driven individual with passion for delivering business results for clients.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both written and verbally.

What Success Looks Like:

  • In 3 months: Grasp strategic priorities, engage stakeholders, and lay foundations for collaboration.
  • In 6 months: Demonstrate ability to deliver on all aspects of the role efficiently, effectively, and proactively.
  • In 12 months: Take ownership of responsibilities, build strong publisher relationships, and elevate impact within the business.
