Seeking a seasoned Risk Expert to drive business growth by mitigating market risks through expert analysis and strategic planning.

Job Description

Achieve exceptional service quality, enhancing the bank's reputation and meeting customer expectations.

  • Collaborate closely with various departments to provide policy interpretation on regional and local market risk policies and frameworks.
  • Collect timely information to support assessing Oceania's market risk performance against policy and guidelines.
  • Coordinate committee and meeting minutes for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare regular reports on Oceania's performance, including credit limits, loan due date checks, borrow ratings reviews, and audits to policy and guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and guidelines, maintaining high standards of compliance.
  • Update credit limits in front and back office systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Produce risk exposure and profit and loss reports for Treasury, Head Office, and regulatory purposes.
  • Identify and detect exceptions in credit and market risk usage.
  • Maintain middle office systems for smooth operations and minimal downtime.
  • Assist in testing new risk management systems, providing feedback and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience working in an analytical role.
  • Previous banking experience is desirable but not required; however, Excel skills are critical to the role.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with a client-centric approach.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and work autonomously and proactively.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in banking, commerce, finance, or accounting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
