Role Overview

This exciting role offers the opportunity to utilise your geospatial skills and expertise to provide strategic support to our organisation. You will work collaboratively with a talented team to develop innovative GIS solutions that drive business outcomes.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining GIS databases and spatial information systems
  • Providing technical advice and support to stakeholders on geospatial matters
  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation
  • Contributing to the development of strategic plans and initiatives
  • Representing the organisation at external events and conferences

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geospatial Science or related field
  • Proven experience of GIS software (QGIS, MapInfo and IntraMaps) and related programming
  • Experience of SQL Server spatial databases and manipulating and statistical analysis of data
  • Ability to work in a team environment and positively contribute to the team
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Geospatial science or related tertiary qualification
  • Proficiency in GIS software (QGIS, MapInfo and IntraMaps)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
