About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient operation of all departments, including Duty Managers, Supervisors, and operational staff. As a key advisor to the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Club's strategic objectives and enhancing member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key advisor to the General Manager, providing strategic guidance and support to ensure the Club's operational objectives are met.
- Lead and mentor staff and duty managers, proactively identifying training and development needs to enhance their skills and performance.
- Identify opportunities for business improvements, providing innovative ideas to enhance operational procedures and member experience.
- Develop and maintain positive relations with members, including managing patron complaints and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Enforce all relevant legislation, including AML/CTF, Self-Exclusion, and member welfare checks.
- Oversee external contractors, security, maintenance of facilities, and ensure WHS standards are met to ensure staff and patron safety.
- Update roster templates based on operational needs to ensure efficient operations during trade and excellent customer service to patrons.
- Ensure staff and patrons adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
About You:
- Experience in a similar operational leadership position in the hospitality industry.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and committed to mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong business acumen, strategic planning, and financial reporting skills.
- Extensive knowledge of operations over all departments in a Club, including gaming and food and beverage services, and relevant legislation.
- Knowledge and application of security systems and Club Emergency procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of POS, and Clubs House Systems, including telephone operations, lighting, air-conditioning, audio visual, etc.
- RSA, RCG, Advanced RCG, Licensee, and Advanced Licensee competencies.
- First Aid Certificate & WWCC (or willing to obtain).
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in a management-related discipline (desirable).
