Site Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our site operations team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Site Manager and work closely with a team of permanent Grain Handlers to deliver a safe and effective service in the receipt, storage and outload of grain via road and rail.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the agricommodities industry.

  • Coordinate day-to-day workflow of the team and support the attraction, selection, training, and development of permanent and casual team members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local community groups, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist the Site Manager to implement and review site performance metrics, participate in site planning, and achieve site targets (e.g., KPIs).
  • Support resource planning for grain receipt / outload activity during peak and off-peak periods.
  • Support the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety, and quality activities and related reporting.
  • Supervise a large seasonal workforce during busy harvest intake periods, including at multiple sites.

About you:

  • You should have plant operations experience gained in any industry, a strong safety mindset, and a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the thriving agricommodities industry.
  • Some experience in supervising teams or the potential to do so would be beneficial.
  • Good communication skills, time management, and IT literacy are essential.
  • Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces is also required.
