Job Title: Assistant Venue Manager

Varsity Cannington is an exciting new venue that promises Good Times, Always. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our teams to deliver outstanding customer service and experience to all Varsity customers.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably with knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting. They will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with staff and customers, and embody a positive and light-hearted demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth operations across traditional and new Varsity perspectives
  • Deliver training to guide teams to exceptional customer experience
  • Execute shifts with precision and maintain high energy levels
  • Maintain successful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Wage % and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
  • Ensure accurate ordering and support Back-of-House (BOH) team for quality food products
  • Support trials of new team members and participate in recruitment processes
  • Deliver exceptional experience to Varsity customers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry
  • Experience working in an entertainment / amusements environment (arcade machines, bowling lanes, and/or redemption)
  • Basic financial acumen and understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • RSA and Approved Managers
