Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and Coordination: Facilitate and participate in planning activities and briefs, ensuring seamless coordination across functional areas.
  • Project Management: Monitor project budgets, inventory, and schedules for DRA operations, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Operational Planning: Undertake detailed planning cycles and support the development of operational planning documents, aligning with organisational goals.
  • Intelligence Gathering: Monitor extreme weather and draft intelligence reports to inform the Planning Manager and DRA Leadership Team, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Team Support: Assist Operational Reconnaissance Teams to gather information and make recommendations to support the planning of domestic and international operations.
  • Incident Management: Support the Incident Management Teams deployed on operations, ensuring effective response and recovery.
  • Logistical Support: Provide support during current operations through adjusting and updating risk assessments, budgets, and undertaking logistical and planning activities.
  • Policy Development: Support the development of policies and procedures for the conduct of operations and projects overseas within the Pacific Region.
  • Deployment: Deploy into the field environment to support the deployed IMT as required, supplementing varied experience levels in the IMT.
  • Liaison: Conduct liaison with federal, state, and NGO organisations as directed by the Field Operations Planning Manager to enable planning of recovery and resilience activities.
  • After-Action Reviews: Contribute to the after-action reviews for field operations and major activities across the organisation, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Capability Development: Support field operations capability development to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of recovery operations.
  • Operational Safety: Identify any operational safety hazards and support the development of effective mitigation strategies to support the safe and effective conduct of operations.
Requirements
