The Critical Care Medicine unit is a tertiary-level facility providing expert Intensive and High Dependency care to over 1,400 patients each year. This fast-paced environment offers complex, multidisciplinary care across various specialties.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic setting with access to numerous clinical and research projects. As a key leader within the unit, you will drive the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical risk management strategies to ensure best practice and patient-centered outcomes.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and act as a role model within the unit.
  • Coordinate the evaluation of current practices, implement policies and protocols to enhance care quality and consistency.
  • Foster a culture of learning and research.
  • Review clinical safety events to identify risks and improve systems.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a Registered Nurse with demonstrated advanced level of clinical expertise in critical care nursing.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide contemporary leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice through planning, quality improvement, and research.
