Maintenance Gardeners

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Gardeners and Turf Curators for immediate start. The role will involve working on projects around Melbourne, Victoria CBD.

The work location is in the CBD fringe area, including Toorak, Camberwell, Kensington, etc. Candidates must be able to commute to the site daily within 45 minutes from the CBD.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in:

  • Hedging Maintenance
  • Trimming shrubs and cultivating gardens
  • Weed, pest and disease control/identification
  • Planting & mulching
  • Mowing & edging

Turf Curators will also be responsible for:

  • Turf preparation and laying
  • Mowing using various mowers, including cylinder mowers
  • Renovations
  • Scarifying
  • Weed/Pest control
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Manual license required for driving small trucks

Additional duties may include:

  • Cleaning BBQ's
  • Emptying rubbish bins
  • Picking up builders/landscape rubbish
  • Cleaning grounds using rake, broom, blower and hose
  • Stacking and removal of stakes
  • Manual handling (e.g. barrowing)

Candidates will be paid an hourly rate plus superannuation, with a lucrative rate or award level.

  • Gardening experience: 1 year (preferred)
