Family Support Educator Role

Northern Rivers In Home Care is a not-for-profit approved in-home care provider.

The organisation provides education-funded programs designed to support families without access to existing child care services or those whose circumstances mean existing child care cannot meet their needs.

We are currently recruiting for a family in Holmview requiring a reliable and qualified educator to support a single-parent family with two children aged 2 and 6 years old.

This shift worker role involves varying days and hours, with a minimum commitment of 64 hours per fortnight. The two-year-old attends daycare, requiring drop-off when shifts coincide with daycare hours; otherwise, longer shifts are required. The six-year-old requires school drop-off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality childcare and educational services to the children.
  • Supporting the single-parent family in various ways, including household tasks and emotional support.
  • Maintaining open communication with the family, Northern Rivers In Home Care, and other relevant parties.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Certificate III in Children's Services
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Childcare First Aid Training)
  • Blue Card and Police Clearance
  • Liability insurance (obtained after placement)
  • Medical Clearance
  • Child Protection (refresher required every 2 years)
  • ABN (self-employed/contractor role)
  • Photo ID
  • PRODA RA (office-assisted registration)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • HLTAID012 Certification
