Town Planning Graduate Position

A graduate position in urban planning is available for a suitable candidate completing their Bachelor's Degree. The role involves working closely with experienced Council employees who will provide guidance and support throughout the employment period.
Key Responsibilities- Gain experience across various aspects of town planning including statutory, development assessment, compliance, and policy work.
- Work on projects related to urban, rural and environmental planning matters.
- Conduct task-based research, analysis and reporting as part of development assessment, compliance and policy work.
- Collaborate with an experienced team of planners.
- Develop hands-on experience across various aspects of town planning through direct involvement in real-world projects.
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Planning (or equivalent) at a registered training organisation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of motivation and willingness to learn and adapt.
