Job Opportunity:

The role of Laboratory Manager involves overseeing the safe operation and performance of a laboratory. This includes driving compliance with industry standards, ensuring excellent customer service, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all laboratory operations
  • Manage staff and equipment resources to deliver timely test results for clients
  • Implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency
  • Conduct testing as required
  • Engage with current and potential new customers
  • Maintain effective communication with management and provide regular reporting
  • Ensure technicians receive adequate training and development
  • Guarantee laboratories adhere to quality standards and test results are issued accordingly
  • Implement Lean tools such as Kaizen and Kanban
Qualifications:
  • Advanced Diploma in Laboratory Techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025
  • Proven experience as a Laboratory Manager or Supervisor
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NATA signatory for soil AS1289 and MRWA test methods
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Solid track record of understanding customer requirements
