We are seeking an experienced Technical Spares Assessor to join our Land Domain team at KBR.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the conduct of Technical Spares Assessment across the organisation.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to complete Technical Spares Assessment.
  3. Perform moderately complex to complex mechanical technical activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
  4. Provide subject matter expertise to technical data processes and review/preparation of technical publications.
  5. Apply technical experience to input and review Contract Deliverables and Through Life Support artefacts.
  6. Provide support to Repair Parts identification and Codification activities, including liaison with National Codification Bureau.
  7. Development of Complete Equipment Schedules.
  8. Undertake and oversee Technical Investigations and Technical Instructions relating to platform systems, including support to RODUMs.
  9. Work both within and to the requirements of the Authorised Engineering Organisation.
  10. Work to the requirements of Contractor Engineering Management Plan.
  11. Assist with preparation and/or review of work instructions and maintenance schedules.
  12. Conduct work to a high standard, including work on technical publications.
  13. Work within Certification Standards and established industry practices.
  14. Develop and maintain relationships with key customer and supplier contacts.
  15. Provide guidance, mentorship and assistance to team members including junior levels as and when required.
  16. At times provide assistance with conducting Test Drives of Heavy Vehicles in accordance with Civilian Licenses and Defence qualifications.
  17. At times act as observer for two up test drives.
  18. Support Technical Investigations.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified in Diesel Mechanic/Vehicle Mechanic with minimum of 4 years' experience (Mandatory).
  2. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Defence or related technical industry related to maintenance activities (Highly Desirable).
  3. The ability to obtain and maintain Medium Rigid driver's licence and Defence Vehicle Driver Qualification (Desirable).
  4. The ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Mandatory).
