Job Summary:

We are seeking support service workers to provide high-quality care in a regional aged care facility in Tenterfield, NSW. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of resident rooms, dining areas, and other communal spaces.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and making beds; washing, drying, and sorting linens; and performing general cleaning tasks. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing food, serving meals, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the dining area.

In addition to their primary responsibilities, the selected individual will be required to perform additional duties as necessary. This may include assisting with administrative tasks, participating in training programs, and contributing to team meetings and discussions.

The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and make beds
  • Wash, dry, and sort linens
  • Perform general cleaning tasks
  • Prepare and serve food
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role (desired)
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
  • Current NDIS Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Aged care experience (desired)
  • Understanding of Resident Rights & Aged Care Accreditation Standards (desired)
