Campbelltown, Australia beBeeOccupationalTherapist Full time $17,530 - $20,850
Job Opportunity for Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team of mental health professionals at Campbelltown Hospital.

In this rewarding role, you will provide occupational therapy assessment, intervention, and support to adults who are acutely unwell with mental health needs. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a high dependency unit, contributing to innovative, recovery-focused care across a 7-day roster.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate care. You will be supported by a team of experienced occupational therapists and have access to ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Key Responsibilities
  • You must hold a recognised degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Provide an example of how you have developed and evaluated a treatment plan in collaboration with a client and senior clinicians.
  • Describe your experience in providing person-centred occupational therapy interventions for adults with acute mental health needs.

You will also need to possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2) and obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment if required.

Benefits of Working with Us

Our service provides a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals with acute and non-acute mental health needs. We offer comprehensive care across several facilities, including the newly redeveloped Campbelltown Hospital and Liverpool Hospital.

Our multidisciplinary teams include professionals with diverse mental health expertise, delivering care through units such as the Mental Health Intensive Care Unit, Adult Acute Unit, and Older People's Mental Health Unit.

We maintain external accreditation with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and have active teaching and research links to universities, providing opportunities for professional development and career progression.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient-centric approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced mental health setting.
