**Job Role Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Operations Specialist to join our organization in Brisbane, Australia.

As a key member of our banking operations team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to valued clients while ensuring efficient and compliant banking operations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Processing various banking-related requests, including foreign currency orders, travel cards, international transfers, bank cheques, and more.
  • Handling ATM and Visa card administration, investigating card failures, and managing emergency card/cash requests for overseas members.
  • Monitoring and reporting on inbound and outbound transactions, identifying potential fraud, and liaising with fraud monitoring services.
  • Administering direct entry processes, managing member chequing files, and maintaining dynamic sweep facilities.
  • Supporting front-line staff with complex memberships, trust/superannuation accounts, and internet banking/phone passwords.
  • Processing deceased estates, term deposit maturity instructions, and broker-initiated term deposits.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Tier 2 General Advice certification in General Insurance and Deposit Products or approved equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar banking operations role.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet usage.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and promote a risk-averse and compliant workplace.
  • General knowledge of banking legislation, regulations, and prudential standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
