Job Title: Information Management Officer

Key Role Summary:

The role of Information Management Officer is pivotal in ensuring effective information governance, strategic alignment, and ICT policies are implemented. The successful candidate will be a key advocate for best practices in information management, knowledge management, and data management.

  • Provide expert advice on trends and practices in information governance, knowledge management, and records management.
  • Manage eDRMS administration, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with vendors to resolve incidents.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to promote high-performance information management initiatives.
  • Develop and implement standards, guidelines, and tools to achieve industry best practices.
  • Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training on information management systems and practices.
  • Lead system upgrades, patches, and hotfixes for Content Manager, including designing user acceptance test scripts.
  • Showcase information management systems to prospective stakeholders, driving digital transformation.
  • Provide supervision and support to the Brisbane-based information management team.

This is a full-time temporary position based in Brisbane. To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated expertise in contemporary information management practices, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience administering eDRMS platforms (e.g. Content Manager), including issue resolution and vendor liaison.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare training material and deliver targeted user training.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of IM-related policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience supervising or leading staff in a professional context.

A qualification in an information management-related discipline would be advantageous.
