About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Fruit and Veg Manager to join our team at Woolworths. As a key member of our Fresh Produce team, you will play a critical role in delivering a consistently good offer on our Fresh range to meet the shopping needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Fruit and Veg Manager in leading, coaching, and supporting the Fruit and Veg Team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and presentation of our Fresh produce offerings.
  • Work closely with the Buying team to ensure that our Fresh produce offerings are aligned with customer demand and market trends.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that our customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Store Operations and Marketing, to promote our Fresh produce offerings and drive sales.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a retail or food industry environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Fresh produce market and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, days, and late nights, across a fortnightly rotational roster.
