Job Description:

Lead the Sustainability Agenda

The City is embarking on an ambitious sustainability agenda, with Carbon Neutral as an organisation by 2030. We seek a progressive and innovative leader to manage our sustainability team.

About the Role

This position forms part of our overall Management team and provides the opportunity to lead the development and implementation of the City's sustainability agenda and climate action plan, policies, and initiatives in alignment with intergenerational equity principles, the Strategic Community Plan, Corporate Business Plan and Business Management System.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement sustainability strategies, initiatives and programsLead a team to promote sustainability and climate actionEvaluate and review sustainability and climate action strategies

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will hold degree level qualifications in engineering, science or technology with additional qualification in business, management, policy research or an equivalent area of endeavour relevant to the role.

You have demonstrated experience in successfully promoting sustainability, climate action and/or improvement programs and initiatives throughout an organisation, and leading a team.
