Category Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to develop and implement category strategies, improve our Contract Management Framework, and drive business growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing Horizon Power's Category Management Plan to support business objectives and deliver operational requirements.
  • Leading the management of key category contracts, collaborating with internal stakeholders to maximize their value for the business.
  • Undertaking high-level strategic negotiations, providing expert advice, and resolving complex risks in contracts.
  • Acting as a formal Relationship Manager with category contractors to establish collaborative working relationships and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Formal qualifications in Law, Engineering, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of procurement, category, contract, and supplier relationship management across multiple categories.
  • Extensive experience in planning, developing, and/or managing medium to high-risk and complex contracts to meet strategic and operational business needs.
  • Highly developed written communication skills and the ability to prepare and present complex procurement and technical documentation.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, relationship management, and negotiation skills to effectively liaise, consult, and negotiate with senior levels in both public and private sectors.
