Contaminated Land Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contaminated Land Specialist to join our team in Western Australia. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering strategic and practical solutions to clients facing environmental management challenges.

As a Contaminated Land Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, prepare site management plans, remediation action plans, and other reports for external and internal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality technical reports and recommendations to clients.

  • Conduct field investigations and sampling programs, including soil, vapour, surface water, and groundwater assessments.

  • Prepare cost-effective proposals and manage projects from start to finish.

  • Engage with clients and internal disciplinary teams to determine innovative and pragmatic solutions to complex environmental problems.

  • Support the learning and progression of junior staff within the team.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology, or Geology.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in contaminated land projects, with hydrogeology experience desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience in site supervision, managing complex site investigations, and various sampling methods, including soil and groundwater.

  • Strong knowledge of NEPM and contaminated land provisions within WA.

  • Strong communication and report writing skills.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to the growth of the business unit.
