Role Overview

Greater Dandenong City Council is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Communications and Customer Experience Manager to drive the Council's communications plans, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and embed a customer-first approach. Reporting to the Executive Director Corporate Development, this role will lead key functions including Media & Communications, Digital and Marketing, Media Production, and Customer Service.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective communications strategies to engage effectively with the community
- Collaborate with Executive peers and Councillors to achieve Council goals
- Lead and manage a broad multi-faceted portfolio
- Embed high standards of engagement and communications throughout the organisation

Requirements
- Proven senior communications experience in large, complex environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage and collaborate effectively with Executive peers and Councillors
- Ability to traverse seamlessly between operational and strategic aspects
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to work through complexity

What We Offer
- Competitive salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
