Commercial Legal Expert

We are seeking a skilled mid to senior level lawyer in Melbourne, Australia.
This role is responsible for providing legal services and support to multiple business units across the organization.
The focus will be on technology and commercial contracting space, delivering expert legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial agreements including master services agreements, software licenses, and other bespoke agreements.
You will also have the opportunity to provide strategic input and legal solutions on other business matters including group transformation projects, outsourcing arrangements, and corporate restructures.
About YouWe are looking for someone with strong commercial acumen and the capability to provide solutions-focused, commercial legal advice to a diverse variety of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing legal services and support to multiple business units.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology and commercial contracts.
- Managing multiple projects and tight timeframes effectively.
To be successful, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Be admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia (6-8 years PQE).
- Have private practice or in-house experience involving technology contracting, outsourcing, and general commercial vendor contract reviews and negotiations.
- Have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to negotiate and draft on material agreements of strategic importance to the organization.
- Have knowledge of technology law, operational risk management regulations, privacy and data protection, and relevant industry standards.
