In the role of Retail Officer at the Threads Together retail store, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional results for businesses and the broader Yarra community.
We are seeking a committed retail professional to oversee our newly launched Thread Together Store. This initiative is a collaboration between Yarra City Council and the Victorian Government.
Thread Together is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing new clothing from ending up in landfills by redistributing these garments to individuals in need.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to manage a team of up to six volunteers. Responsibilities will include recruitment, scheduling, and providing hands-on training, as well as offering mentorship to volunteers aspiring to build a career in retail.
Additionally, this role will involve inventory management, visual merchandising, and most importantly, delivering exceptional customer service to our community. You will also be responsible for initiating an entry-level 'Work Readiness' customer service program in collaboration with external partners.
